Bronze-hour pop for the long walk home

NowBronze Hour — premiering tonight
NextStudio session · room tone for the next record

Vera Solène writes songs that sound like the last hour of daylight — warm, a little tired, certain of one thing. She trained as a cellist, switched to voice at nineteen, and started producing in a bedroom above a bakery in Alfama.

Her work moves between chamber-pop and slow-burn electronic. The arrangements lean on close-mic'd voice, hand percussion, and a single sustained pad that holds the room.

She records mostly at night, mostly alone, and ships every release with a printed lyric card.
